The Eclipse Event at SAAO, 21 June 2001
The public were invited to experience the eclipse with the staff of the South African Astronomical Observatory at their headquarters in Cape Town. Despite the sun being only 41% obscured, the festive atmosphere of the occasion was enjoyed by all.
